New APCCII President
Mrs. Carolyn Manaloto, Principal of Oz-Pinoy Home Loans & Ezy Property Finance from Plumpton, NSW, has been chosen as the new president of the Australia Philippines Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Inc, (APCCII), vice Mr. Ric de Vera who resigned midway to this two-year term.
Mrs. Manaloto is the first woman president of the association which was formerly known from 1987 to 2001 as Filipino Business Council (FBC) and renamed APCCII in 2001.
The new president was chosen by a reconstituted Board of Directors whose term expires in December 2009.
The other officers elected along with Mrs. Manaloto are as follows: Mr. Atoy Sayas, of Zignal Travel – vice-president; Mr. Rodi Orantia, of Colby Business Services –secretary, Nonoy Fernandez of DGS Marketing – treasurer, and Nonoy Perdon, Bayanihan News, – press relations officer.
Mr. Robert Bock, of AUSPAC, has been chosen liaison to the peak body Philippine Community Council of NSW (PCC_NSW) whilst Mr. Ernie Ramos, owner of Le Colonial Restaurants, was elected as new APCCII director and the other existing directors are Ruben Passion & Bong David, director of The Sydney Entertainment Network.
