Overview

BACKGROUND

APCCII saw its beginnings on the 1st of September 1987 in NSW as Filipino Business Council (FBC) APCCII's aims are to promote and augment the well-being and welfare of Filipino Australian business entrepreneurs as meaningful members of our society.

OBJECTIVES

APCCII's focus and objectives are to assist, support and organise the Filipino Australians and Australian business men and women into a cohesive, active effective and progressive group to foster, develop and promote their common interest beneficial to Members. APCCII serves as a focal points of contacts, and as meeting place for exchange of ideas, information, networking and business opportunities

MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA

All Australian who are involved in business and those intending to embark business are eligible for membership in every such case the membership is subject to the approval of the Membership Committe and thereafter the Board of Directors. The 4 classes of membership are regular, probationary, corporate and honourary.

  • Regular Members - Filipino migrants who are Australian residents or citizens engaged in business, commerce or trade and/or who are self-employed for not less than one year. Australians with business interest in Australia or in the Philippines are also eligible in this class and have the rights to vote and to be elected as Directors of APCCII.
  • Probationary Members - Filipino migrants and Australians who intend to be engaged in business within a period of one year. They have no voting rights and are not eligible to become Directors.
  • Corporate Membership - is open to all private and public corporations in Australian as well as Filipino corporations indulged in and intending to do business in Australia.
  • Honourary Members - are life members who are notable and well deserving persons who have exhibited and provided distinguished and meritorious contributions to the attainment of the APCCII objectives.
